According to polls most citizens are in favor of expanding gay-rights, but not marriage or adopting children.

Here are the poll results:

• Hospital visitation, inheritance rights, and employment protections: 56% yes, 40% no
• Adoptions: 35% should be allowed, 54% should not be allowed
• Gay Marriage: 25% for it, 70% against it

Want something more interesting? Here are the results if you take out all the Mormons:

• Hospital/inheritance/employment: 68% yes, 26% no
• Adoptions: 55% should be allowed, 30% should not be allowed
• Gay Marriage: 48% for it, 43% against it

Oh how ridiculous the religion of mormonism is!
