This friday let's go to the beach in Portugal!

Even though Portugal has been participating in the Eurovision song contest since 1964 they have yet to be in the top 5. In fact the closest they got was 6th place back in 1996. Since then they haven't even made it into the top 10. This year they're sending Suzy who has been performing since she was only 5 years old.

The song Suzy will be singing is called 'Quero Ser Tua' which is about wanting to be with someone. This love song has some fun rhythms typical of Portugal, but Suzy's live voice kills the song. The song itself doesn't change much and is fairly repetitive and thus you get bored of it really quick. This song seems like it's destined to fail. I don't expect it to make it past the semi-finals this time around which is sad for Portugal as it's their 50th anniversary in the competition.
