Moldova is next in our line-up for the 1st semi-finals.

Moldova has been inching their way toward a win every year now and yet it still eludes them. The closest they came was in 2005 when they ended up in 6th.  This year they are sending Cristina Scarlat who is classically trained. This was Cristina's 3rd attempt to represent Moldova and it's about time considering she's one of the lead singers of the Presidental Orchestra in Moldova. Her voice is superb and I can't wait to here her sing live.

Her song called 'Wild Soul' is a traditional eurovision style song. Not only that but it's wonderfully composed and uses Cristina's voice perfectly. As it's traditional Eurovision it might be left behind as people have gotten used to songs like it, but it might also bring up memories for the older generation (aka late 20's =P) of their Eurovision favourites thus garnering some votes. Either way, her voice will definitely carry her into the finals and hopefully her act will push her into the top 10.
