Continuing with the 2nd semi-final we have Georgia!

Debuting in 2007 Georgia hasn't made much of a stir at Eurovision. The closest they've come was 9th place in 2010 and 2011. This year they're hoping The Shin and Mariko will give them a shot at bringing the contest to Georgia. The Shin are a Georgian band that formed in Germany. Together with Mariko who is a Georgian singer they'll be trying their hand at the competition.

Their song 'Three minutes to Earth' tries to bring Georgian rhythms and beats to the contest. The song is a fun song about getting back to Earth from outer space in 3 minutes. The song is a nice one, but doesn't really capture to much of the audience's attention. The song might not be the best one out there, but it's one of the better ones that Georgia has produced thus far. I think this year they'll likely get into the finals like they normally do, but might teeter around 10th place like normal.
